Small Business Experience
Our Small Business Experience spans many years. Over my 40 year career outlined below, 2 of the companies where I was finance chief totaling 15 years were small businesses, both using QuickBooks for their bookkeeping and accounting needs. My wife Michele, prior to becoming the General Manager of our own small business, see Your Own Winery below, held several positions as Financial Controller in small business using a QuickBooks accounting system.

Paul J Crecca, CPA
Welcome. I am a NJ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified QuickBooks Bookkeeper. I hold a BA in Accounting from Rutgers University and an MBA in Finance from the Rutgers School of Business.
I started my career in 1979 with Arthur Young & Co, a big 8 Accounting firm, now Ernst & Young. After 6 years with A&Y last as an Audit Manager, I moved to the corporate world, and over the next 35 years I held CFO (chief financial officer) positions with Dun & Bradstreet, Marvel Comics, Haights Cross Communications (a publishing company), SheKnows.com, and Westchester Publishing Services. I retired in Jan 2024.
With a 40 year career as the Finance Chief for businesses in size from $400 million to $20 million and with accounting and finance teams of 6 to 35, I have extensive experience in all aspects of Accounting (aka Bookkeeping), Financial Statements & Reporting, Budgeting, Business Forecasts, and Financial Planning & Analysis.
After a successful 40 year corporate career, I started Oak Hill Bookkeeping & Taxes Services because I wanted to stay active in the profession I love and to help Small Businesses like yours Succeed.
Your Own Winery & QuickBooks Bookkeeping
Michele Crecca and I have extensive QuickBooks Bookkeeping, admin and tax experience for Small Business. In 2012, we started a new small business, Your Own Winery, a personal wine-making shop first located in Riverdale NJ, moving to Butler NJ in 2018 – we handled all the business startup requirements ourselves. For 12 years, we owned and operated this retail business, handling all the QuickBooks Bookkeeping, employee and vendor payments, NJ sales tax payments and filing and all other required corporate filings. Unfortunately, due to lingering negative affects of the Covid pandemic we were forced to close this business in Sept 2024.
Non-Profit Bookkeeping
For over 30 years, we have also handled all the bookkeeping, admin, tax returns and required non-profit federal and state corporate filings for Pet Adoption Thru Caring Hands (PATCH), a Pompton Lakes NJ based 401(c)3 organization dedicated to rescuing cats without forever homes, providing them food, shelter and veterinary care as the volunteers seek new forever homes for the felines in their care.
Michele and I as partners have all the small business experience needed to handle all you business set-up, bookkeeping and tax needs. Contact us for a Free Consultation on how we can help you spend more time Growing Your Business and less time worrying about all the admin behind owning and operating a business.
